Ingredients

The salad

  • 4 cups mixed salad greens
  • 2 pieces ripe pears, sliced
  • 1 bulb fennel, sliced paper thin
  • 1 tablespoon dried cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon chopped pecans
  • 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon chopped hazelnuts
  • cup shaved pecorino cheese

The dressing

  • to taste none balsamic vinaigrette
  • to taste none sea salt
  • to taste none freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Arrange the mixed greens on a serving platter or in a serving bowl.
  2. Top with the sliced pears and fennel.
  3. Squeeze lemon juice over the pears and fennel, then toss.
  4. Add the cranberries, pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts, and pecorino cheese on top.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette and season with salt and pepper to taste.
