Slow Cooker Beef & Broccoli

The beef

uncooked lean & trimmed boneless top round roast of beef, sliced thin and cut into bite-sized pieces
The sauce

fat free beef broth

low sodium soy sauce

brown sugar

sesame oil

garlic, minced

cornstarch
The vegetables

frozen broccoli florets/pieces, unthawed
Instructions
- Combine the broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and garlic in the slow cooker and stir to mix.
- Add the uncooked beef pieces and ensure they are covered by the liquid.
- Set the slow cooker to low, cover, and cook for 4 hours, checking for doneness.
- Remove 4 tablespoons of the liquid and mix it with the cornstarch in a bowl.
- Return the cornstarch mixture to the slow cooker and stir well.
- Add the frozen broccoli and stir to combine.
- Re-cover and cook on low for an additional 30 minutes.
