Ingredients

The syrup

  • 1 cup dried elderberries
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 stick cinnamon

Essential oils

  • 4 drops lemon oil
  • 4 drops citrus oil
  • 4 drops cinnamon bark oil
  • 2 drops clove oil
  • 2 drops thieves oil

Instructions

  1. Combine dried elderberries, water, honey, and the cinnamon stick in a saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. Strain the mixture through a sieve into a bowl or jar to remove the elderberries.
  4. Add the essential oils to the strained liquid and stir well.
  5. Store the syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
