Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ cups packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup chopped hazelnuts (skins removed)
  • ¾ cup Heath Toffee Bits
  • to taste extra sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sea salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
  3. In a stand mixer, cream the butter and sugars until light and creamy.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, beating for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips, chopped hazelnuts, and toffee bits.
  7. Drop about 2 tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  8. Sprinkle with sea salt and bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
