Ingredients

The base

  • cups walnuts
  • 1 cup dates, pitted and soaked in hot water
  • cup cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp peppermint extract
  • pinch salt
  • 1–2 tbsp water

The coating

  • 1 cup chocolate chips, melted
  • ¼ cup crushed candy canes

Instructions

  1. Blend walnuts and soaked dates in a food processor until smooth.
  2. Add cocoa powder, peppermint extract, and salt, then blend again.
  3. Incorporate water as needed to form a dough.
  4. Roll the mixture into balls and freeze for at least 15 minutes.
  5. Melt chocolate and crush candy canes while the bites freeze.
  6. Dip each bite in melted chocolate or drizzle it on top, then sprinkle with crushed candy canes.
  7. Store in the fridge or freezer.
