Crispy Baked Tofu Teriyaki

Ingredients

The tofu

  • 16 ounces extra-firm tofu
  • ½ cup teriyaki sauce
  • ¼ cup cornstarch

To serve

  • 2 cups rice
  • 2 cups broccoli
  • ¼ cup sliced green onions
  • to taste more teriyaki sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into evenly sized pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, drizzle 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce over the tofu and mix well.
  4. Add the cornstarch to the tofu and mix again until coated.
  5. Arrange the tofu and broccoli on a parchment-lined baking sheet and drizzle with more teriyaki sauce.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Brush additional teriyaki sauce on the tofu and sprinkle with green onions.
  8. Bake for an additional 5 minutes until crispy.
  9. Serve with rice and additional teriyaki sauce if desired.
