Super Crispy Sesame Tofu

Ingredients

The tofu

  • 16 ounce Extra Firm Tofu, Cubed and Drained
  • 4 tbsp corn starch
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil

The sauce

  • ΒΌ cup Low Sodium Teriyaki Sauce, organic
  • 2 tbsp Low Sodium Tamari or Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Slice the tofu into small cubes and place on paper towels to drain.
  3. Press the tofu with more paper towels and a heavy skillet for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Transfer the pressed tofu to a zip-top bag and add corn starch, shaking to coat.
  5. Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Add the tofu to the skillet, browning it on one side before flipping.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven, add teriyaki and soy sauce, and toss to coat.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
