Crispy Sesame Garlic Tofu

Sesame Garlic Sauce

Instructions
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes, then marinate it in a mixture of tamari, sesame oil, chili garlic sauce, rice wine vinegar, maple syrup, and garlic in a sealed bag for at least 8 hours or overnight.
- Thaw the tofu in the refrigerator for about 8 hours, flipping it occasionally.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Remove the tofu from the marinade, pat dry, and cut into 1-inch cubes.
- Toss the tofu cubes with avocado oil, arrowroot starch, and black pepper until coated.
- Arrange the tofu on the baking sheet and roast for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- While the tofu roasts, prepare the sesame garlic sauce by combining tamari, maple syrup, tahini, lime juice, sesame oil, garlic, and sesame seeds in a jar and shaking to combine.
- Serve the hot tofu with rice, steamed vegetables, and drizzle the sesame garlic sauce on top.
