Crispy Sesame Tofu

The tofu and marinade

The coating and cooking

white and black sesame seeds

For serving

mayonnaise

teaspoon
Sriracha sauce

cup
snap peas, steamed and chopped

⅓
cup
frozen edamame, steamed

scallion, chopped

to taste
tamari, for drizzling
Instructions
- Press the tofu to remove excess water and place it in a shallow dish.
- Whisk together the marinade ingredients and drizzle over the tofu, marinating for 20 minutes to 1 hour.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F or the oven to 350°F.
- Prepare the sesame seeds and egg wash.
- Coat the marinated tofu slices in the egg wash and then in the sesame seeds.
- For air frying, cook the tofu in batches for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- For baking, place the tofu on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Mix the mayo and Sriracha to make the sriracha mayo.
- Serve the tofu with rice, snap peas, edamame, scallions, and drizzle with tamari.
