Ingredients

The sauce

  • cup Hoisin Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Rice Vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons Coconut Aminos or Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • ½ cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 3 tablespoons Arrowroot Starch or Corn Starch

The tofu

  • 2 blocks Extra-Firm Tofu
  • 2 tablespoons Avocado Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Aminos or Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Arrowroot Starch or Corn Starch

The stir-fry

  • 2 bunches Green Onions
  • 3 cloves Garlic

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the sauce ingredients in a bowl and mix until thick.
  3. Press the tofu to remove excess water, then break it into chunks and coat with avocado oil, coconut aminos, and arrowroot starch.
  4. Spread the tofu on the baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes, flipping halfway.
  5. Sauté green onions and garlic in a pan, then add the baked tofu and sauce, stirring to coat.
  6. Serve the tofu over rice or lettuce.
