Ingredients

  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 4 stalks fresh mint leaves and stems
  • to taste none sweetener (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil water and fill your teapot to warm it.
  2. Roll the mint leaves and stems between your palms to crush them.
  3. Empty the teapot and place the crushed mint inside.
  4. Pour boiling water over the mint and cover the teapot.
  5. Let the tea steep for about 5 minutes.
  6. Strain the tea into cups and add sweetener if desired.
  7. For iced tea, cool the brewed tea and serve over ice.
