Iced Moroccan Mint Tea

Ingredients

Tea Base

  • tablespoons loose green tea leaves or 4 green tea bags
  • 4 cups boiling water

Flavoring

  • 1 bunch fresh mint leaves
  • 3-4 tablespoons honey
  • 1 lemon juice

Serving

  • ice
  • sparkling water, for topping
  • vodka, to your liking (optional)
  • pomegranate arils and mint for serving

Instructions

  1. Boil 4-5 cups of water and remove from heat.
  2. Add the tea and steep for 5 minutes, then stir in the mint and steep for another 5 minutes.
  3. Strain the tea into a pitcher and mix in honey and lemon juice to taste.
  4. Chill the tea until cold.
  5. Serve over ice, topping with sparkling water and a splash of vodka if desired.
  6. Garnish with pomegranate arils and fresh mint.
