Ingredients

  • 1 cup very loosely packed fresh mint leaves
  • 3 cups boiling water

Instructions

  1. Muddle the mint leaves in a mortar and pestle until they are broken down to about half their size, or rub them between your palms.
  2. Transfer the muddled mint to a heat-proof jar and pour boiling water over it.
  3. Cover the jar with a lid or small plate and let it steep for 5 minutes.
  4. Strain the tea and serve hot or pour over ice.
