Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients
The potatoes

russet or Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and cut into ½-inch pieces

garlic, smashed

chicken broth, low-sodium
For mashing

milk, if needed

cream cheese, softened (or ¼ cup sour cream)

Instructions
- Grease the slow cooker insert with nonstick cooking spray.
- Add the potatoes, garlic, salt, pepper, milk, and broth, and stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours until the potatoes are very tender.
- Uncover the slow cooker, remove the garlic cloves, and add additional milk, butter, and cream cheese.
- Mash until creamy and adjust salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and keep on low or warm until ready to serve.
