Ingredients

The potatoes

  • 3 pounds Yukon Gold or Red potatoes

The cooking liquid

  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable stock

The flavorings

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

The finishing touch

  • ⅓–½ cup milk

Instructions

  1. Chop the potatoes and add them to the slow cooker with the stock.
  2. Place the butter cubes and minced garlic on top of the potatoes.
  3. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours until the potatoes are soft.
  4. Mash the potatoes to your desired consistency.
  5. Stir in the Greek yogurt (or sour cream), salt, and black pepper.
  6. Add warm milk until the potatoes reach your desired creaminess.
  7. Serve warm and add any optional toppings if desired.
