Chocolate Covered Apples

Ingredients

  • 1 unit Cosmic Crisp® apple
  • ½-¾ cup natural peanut butter
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 10 pieces regular or vegan caramels
  • 2-3 tsp milk
  • to taste unit sea salt

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Dip the apple in hot water for 5-10 seconds and scrub to remove wax.
  3. Cut the apple into 8-10 wedges and pat dry.
  4. Dip each apple slice into peanut butter and place on the baking sheet.
  5. Chill the peanut butter-dipped apples in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Melt the chocolate chips over low heat or in the microwave until fully melted.
  7. Dip each apple slice in the melted chocolate and return to the baking sheet.
  8. Chill the chocolate-dipped apples in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  9. Melt the caramels with milk until drizzly.
  10. Drizzle the melted caramel over the chocolate-covered apples and sprinkle with sea salt.
  11. Chill for an additional 10-15 minutes before serving.
