Instructions
- Combine apple cider, dry red wine, brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, orange slices and juice, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, crushed cardamom seeds, and star anise in a medium saucepan.
- Simmer the mixture over low heat for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Serve the mulled wine warm, optionally garnished with orange peels and cinnamon sticks.
