Instructions
- Combine wine, orange juice, orange slices, sugar, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and star anise in a large non-aluminum pot over medium-low heat.
- Simmer the mixture until steam begins to rise and it is hot, about 10 minutes, without boiling.
- Strain the spices or remove the spice bundle and keep the mulled wine warm over low heat until serving.
- Serve warm, garnished with additional orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and star anise if desired.
