Instructions
- Prepare the orange by peeling strips of zest and slicing the remaining half into rounds for garnish.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the wine, apple cider, orange juice, orange zest, cloves, star anise, and cinnamon sticks.
- Bring the mixture to a low simmer, being careful not to boil, and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Stir in ginger juice if using, and adjust sweetness or spice levels to taste.
- Remove from heat, strain the mixture, and serve in mugs with garnishes.
