Instructions
- Make the taco seasoning by combining chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, Mexican oregano, and salt in a bowl.
- Heat oil in a saucepan, add chopped onion, and cook until softened.
- Add the seasoning to the onions and cook for about a minute, then add the ground beef and brown it.
- Stir in the tomatoes, garlic, and jalapeño, cooking until the tomatoes are softened.
- Add black beans, corn, and beef broth, bring to a simmer, and cook for about 20 minutes.
- Stir in lime juice and cilantro, then season to taste with salt.
- Serve the soup topped with your favorite toppings.
