Instructions
- 1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- 2. Add diced onion and carrots, cooking until softened.
- 3. Add ground beef, breaking it up and cooking until slightly pink.
- 4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- 5. Add oregano, basil, salt, and pepper, then stir in the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste.
- 6. Mix in balsamic vinegar, red wine, water, and parmesan cheese.
- 7. Reduce heat to medium-low and let simmer for at least 60 minutes, or up to 3 hours for richer flavor.
