Ingredients

The chicken and limes

  • 3 pounds bone-in chicken pieces
  • 6 limes halved

The spice mixture

  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar or Swerve
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • ½ teaspoon celtic sea salt

Instructions

  1. Combine chicken pieces and halved limes in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together coconut sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, allspice, and salt.
  3. Pour the spice mixture over the chicken and mix well.
  4. Grill the chicken and limes face down on medium heat for 15-20 minutes per side.
  5. Check that the chicken is cooked through (165°F) using an instant-read thermometer.
  6. Squeeze the grilled limes over the chicken before serving.
