Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and prepare a baking sheet with a silicone mat or greased foil.
- Remove florets from the cauliflower and chop into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, whisk together the gluten free flour, almond milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes to create the batter.
- Place the breadcrumbs in a separate bowl next to the batter.
- Dip each cauliflower piece into the batter, shaking off excess, then coat in breadcrumbs and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake the cauliflower bites for 22 minutes.
- While baking, prepare the sauce by mixing all sauce ingredients (except cornstarch slurry) in a pot over high heat and bringing to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat, add the cornstarch slurry, and whisk until thickened.
- Remove the baked cauliflower from the oven, toss in the sauce, and return to the baking sheet for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped scallions.
