Ingredients

The cauliflower

  • 1 head cauliflower
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

The sauce

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, milk, salt, and pepper, then coat each cauliflower piece in the batter and place on the baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.
  4. While baking, prepare the sauce by combining all sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium-low heat and whisk until simmering.
  5. Once the cauliflower is baked, toss it in a bowl with the prepared sauce to coat.
