Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems, then scoop out the gills to create deep cups.
- In a medium bowl, combine crab meat, green onions, Italian seasoning, garlic, and pepper.
- Mix in mayonnaise and ¼ cup of parmesan cheese until well combined, then refrigerate the filling.
- Sprinkle salt over the mushroom cups and fill them with rounded teaspoonfuls of the crab filling.
- Place the filled mushrooms in an ungreased shallow baking dish and sprinkle additional parmesan on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then switch to broil for 2-3 minutes to brown the tops, watching carefully to avoid burning.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
