Instructions
- Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems.
- Drizzle the mushroom caps with oil, salt, and pepper, and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- In a skillet, heat garlic, then add breadcrumbs and sauté until fragrant and slightly brown.
- Transfer the breadcrumb mixture to a bowl and let it cool.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions, green onions, celery, red pepper, cajun seasoning, and crab meat for a few minutes.
- Allow the mixture to cool, then add cream cheese, ¼ cup of breadcrumbs, and grated gouda cheese, mixing thoroughly.
- Spoon the filling into the mushroom caps and top with remaining breadcrumbs.
- Bake in the oven at 375°F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
