Ingredients

The Biscuits

  • 2 cups blanched almond flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • cup melted butter

The Sausage Gravy

  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine almond flour, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Add beaten eggs and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until mixed.
  4. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and use a cookie scoop to form 11-12 biscuit balls on the paper.
  5. Wet your fingers and flatten the tops of the biscuits.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground sausage, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  8. Break down the sausage while cooking until no longer pink.
  9. Reduce heat to medium, then add cream cheese and heavy cream, stirring until the cream cheese melts and the gravy thickens.
  10. Serve the gravy over the biscuits.
