Turkey Broth

Ingredients

The broth base

  • 1 whole turkey carcass and leftover bones
  • enough to fill to the max line water

The vegetables

  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 2 cloves garlic

Seasoning

  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to the Instant Pot or slow cooker and fill with water to the max line.
  2. For the Instant Pot, pressure cook for 2 hours (4 hours is optimal) and allow natural steam release for at least 30 minutes before straining.
  3. For the slow cooker, cook on low for 12-18 hours.
  4. Strain the broth through a mesh strainer into a large bowl to remove bones and scraps.
  5. Store the broth as needed.
