Ingredients

The broccoli

  • 1 pound broccoli florets

The marinade

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • ½ tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

The garnish

  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, salt, and red pepper flakes, tossing to coat.
  3. Prepare a grill basket or aluminum foil with nonstick spray.
  4. Place the broccoli in a single layer in the grill basket or on the foil.
  5. Grill the broccoli for 10 to 13 minutes, tossing occasionally, until lightly charred and crisp-tender.
  6. Transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and additional salt if desired.
