Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails intact
The bacon
The marinade

Instructions
- Preheat the broiler and line a baking sheet with foil.
- Soak toothpicks in water for at least 30 minutes.
- Microwave half the bacon on a plate lined with paper towels until mostly cooked, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Toss the shrimp in the marinade to coat.
- Wrap each shrimp with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- Broil the shrimp, flipping once, until the bacon is crispy and shrimp are cooked, about 5 minutes.
- Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges before serving.
