Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 400º F.
- 2. Place a wire rack over a large baking sheet and lay halved bacon slices in a single layer on the rack.
- 3. Bake the bacon for about 10 minutes until it renders some fat and starts to turn golden brown.
- 4. In a medium bowl, mix maple syrup, melted butter, and red pepper flakes.
- 5. Toss the shrimp and cooked bacon in the maple butter mixture.
- 6. Wrap each shrimp with a piece of bacon and secure it with a toothpick.
- 7. Place the wrapped shrimp on the wire rack and brush with the remaining maple butter.
- 8. Bake the shrimp for 5 minutes, then switch the oven to broil and broil for 5-8 minutes until the bacon is crispy, flipping the shrimp halfway through.
