Baked Shrimp

Ingredients

The shrimp

  • 1 lb Large shrimp (peeled and deveined, preferably tails left on)

The marinade

  • ¼ cup Unsalted butter (or olive oil)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • ¾ tsp Smoked paprika
  • ¾ tsp Garlic powder
  • ¾ tsp Sea salt
  • tsp Black pepper
  • ¼ tsp Crushed red pepper flakes (optional; or more if you want it spicy)

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
  3. Add the shrimp to the bowl and stir to coat. Marinate the shrimp for 10 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (204 degrees C).
  5. Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in a large baking dish. Scrape any marinade left over in the bowl over the shrimp.
  6. Bake shrimp in the oven for 8-10 minutes, until opaque.
