Baked Shrimp with Garlic Lemon Butter Sauce

Ingredients

The shrimp

  • 1 1/4 lbs extra large shrimp, peeled and deveined

The sauce

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 Tbsp minced fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place the shrimp in a baking dish.
  3. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat and add the garlic, sautéing for 30 seconds.
  4. Alternatively, melt the butter with garlic in a microwave-safe dish.
  5. Stir the lemon juice into the butter mixture.
  6. Pour the butter mixture over the shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, then toss to coat.
  7. Spread the shrimp into an even layer in the baking dish.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 9 to 13 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle with parsley and serve warm, spooning the sauce over the shrimp.
