The pasta

Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat and cook pancetta until browned.
- Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
- Add onion and carrot, cooking until tender, then add garlic and Italian seasoning.
- Drain excess grease, then add red wine and simmer until reduced by half.
- Stir in tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Simmer sauce for 25-30 minutes until thickened, then stir in heavy cream.
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions, reserving some cooking water.
- Combine pasta with sauce, adding reserved water if needed to thin.
- Top with basil and parmesan cheese, then serve.
