  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning

The sauce (optional)

  • ½ cup plain 2% Greek yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup chopped dill

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Pound the chicken breasts between plastic wrap to create a uniform thickness.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, dijon mustard, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Pour the marinade over the chicken and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
  5. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  6. Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
