Cream Cheese Wontons

Instructions
- Mix the cream cheese, sugar, and onion powder until well combined.
- Place a wonton wrapper on a flat surface and add a teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center.
- Brush the edges of the wonton with the beaten egg.
- Bring two opposite corners together and pinch to seal, then repeat with the other two corners.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (about 4 inches deep).
- Fry 5-6 wontons at a time for 3-5 minutes, turning as needed until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and repeat with remaining wontons.
- Sprinkle with chives and serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
