Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook onion, celery, and carrot for 5 minutes.
- Add garlic and stir for 30 seconds.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Drain excess fat and transfer the mixture to a slow cooker.
- Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and sugar; stir to combine.
- Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef broth; stir well.
- Add dry spaghetti and press to ensure it is covered by the liquid.
- Cover and cook on high for 1 ½ hours or low for 4 hours.
- Stir and add cheese if desired before serving.
