Baked Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

The chicken

  • 8 pieces chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on

The seasoning

  • 3 Tbsp salted butter or ghee
  • 1 ½ tsp fine sea salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

For garnish and serving

  • to taste fresh chopped parsley
  • to taste lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF (205ºC).
  2. Melt the butter in a 9x13 baking dish while the oven is preheating.
  3. Pat the chicken thighs dry and season them with salt, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper on both sides.
  4. Place the chicken thighs in the baking dish skin side up and brush the tops with some melted butter.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 200ºF (93ºC).
  6. Broil for 2-3 minutes to crisp the skin if desired.
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving, garnished with parsley and lemon wedges.
