Ingredients

Crust

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups water
  • tsp salt
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 2 Tbsp cornmeal
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

Pizza

  • 3 Tbsp olive oil, divided
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 14 oz. jar pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, shredded or grated
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices
  • cup pickled jalapeños
  • 2 Tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, water, salt, and yeast in a bowl and stir until no streaks of flour remain.
  2. Drizzle olive oil around the bowl and coat the dough, then cover and let rise for 2 hours.
  3. After rising, scrape the dough from the bowl and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  4. Brush a baking sheet with olive oil and sprinkle with cornmeal.
  5. Transfer the dough to the baking sheet and press it to fill the pan, letting it rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  7. Make dimples in the dough, brush with olive oil, and sprinkle with seasonings.
  8. Bake the crust for 25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Spread pizza sauce over the crust and top with mozzarella, Parmesan, pepperoni, and jalapeños.
  10. Bake again for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and browned.
  11. Drizzle with honey, let cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
