Ingredients

The chicken

  • 1.5-2 lb bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

The seasoning

  • 1.5 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

The sauce

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF and prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil and a metal cooling rack.
  2. Mix garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Trim excess skin from the chicken thighs and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  4. Rub the spice mixture onto the chicken thighs and let them sit for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Whisk together olive oil and honey, then drizzle over the chicken thighs.
  6. Place the chicken on the wire rack and bake for 30-35 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160ºF.
  7. Let the chicken rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.
