Baked Crispy Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

The chicken

  • 2 ½ - 3 pound chicken thighs

The seasoning

  • 1 ½ - 2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme or oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon bouillon powder

Instructions

  1. Wash the chicken thighs and wipe them with a paper towel, then salt the chicken.
  2. Combine the spices in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Generously sprinkle the spice blend on both sides of the chicken thighs.
  4. Place the thighs on a cookie sheet in a single layer and let them air-dry in the fridge, or proceed to bake.
  5. Preheat the oven to 475°F.
  6. Bake the chicken thighs at 475°F for the first 20 minutes.
  7. Reduce the oven temperature to 400°F and continue baking until the skin is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F, about 30 minutes.
