Instructions
- Cut the whole chicken into pieces or use precut pieces.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper, placing a wire rack on top.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken, buttermilk, salt, and pepper, and let it sit for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting excess buttermilk drain, and coat it in the breading mixture.
- Place the breaded chicken on the wire rack and spray each piece with cooking spray.
- Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 45-60 minutes, turning halfway through and spraying again.
- Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of at least 165°F and is golden brown before removing from the oven.
