Ingredients

Cheeses

  • 3 oz soft cheese (Goat cheese, Brie or Camembert)
  • 3 oz semi-hard cheese (Cheddar, Gouda or Havarti)
  • 3 oz hard cheese (Parmesan, Manchego or Pecorino)
  • 3 oz blue cheese (Gorgonzola, Roquefort or Stilton)

Accompaniments

  • 1 cup nuts (Almonds, pecans, walnuts or pistachios)
  • 1 cup fresh or dried fruit
  • ΒΌ cup honey or jam
  • 1 cup olives, tapenade or pepperoncini peppers
  • 1 box crackers or crostini

Instructions

  1. Position the cheese on the board and let it warm to room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving.
  2. Create large chunks of blue cheese and Parmesan using a fork, and slice semi-hard cheese like cheddar to fan across the board.
  3. Cut wedges of brie into slices and arrange soft round cheeses on the board.
  4. Place small bowls of tapenade, olives, honey, or jam on the board.
  5. Fill large blank areas with sliced fruit, then arrange crackers and nuts in clusters.
  6. Add small spoons or serving utensils in bowls, and position cheese knives near the relevant cheeses.
  7. Check for any bare spots on the board and fill them with additional nuts or fruit, and drizzle honey over soft cheese if desired.
