Ingredients

The base

  • 1 sleeve saltines
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter

The toppings

  • 2 ½ cups chocolate chips
  • several spoonfuls peanut butter
  • to taste chopped candy (e.g., pretzel M&M’s, KitKats)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Arrange saltines in a nonstick cake pan with a little space between each cracker.
  3. Boil brown sugar and butter together without stirring for 3 minutes.
  4. Pour the boiling mixture over the saltines and bake for 5 minutes.
  5. Add spoonfuls of peanut butter on top and return to the oven for 1 minute.
  6. Spread the melted peanut butter over the toffee.
  7. Top with chocolate chips and return to the oven for another minute.
  8. Spread the melted chocolate chips until smooth and add chopped candy on top.
  9. Freeze for at least 1 hour, then break into pieces and enjoy.
