Ingredients

The salad

  • lbs Turkish cucumbers
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½–1 cup fresh dill, chopped
  • ½ cup fresh mint, chopped
  • ¼ cup red onion, very finely sliced

The dressing

  • ¾ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced or grated
  • to taste cracked pepper
  • ½ teaspoon honey or sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Slice the cucumbers thinly and toss with salt, letting them sit to release liquid.
  2. Drain or pat dry the cucumbers.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the drained cucumbers with chopped dill, mint, and sliced onions.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix yogurt, sour cream, lemon juice, minced garlic, pepper, honey, and olive oil until smooth.
  5. Pour the dressing over the cucumber mixture and gently stir to combine.
  6. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
