Ingredients

The yams

  • 5 medium-sized yams or sweet potatoes

The sauce

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter or ghee
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the yams or sweet potatoes into 1-inch chunks.
  2. Combine the chopped yams, orange juice, maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger, and salt in the Instant Pot.
  3. Lock the lid and cook on high pressure for 6 minutes.
  4. Let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes, then perform a quick release.
  5. Add the butter and stir gently to combine, then transfer the yams to a serving dish.
  6. Top with mini marshmallows if desired, and serve hot.
