Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake

refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough (16 ounce)

creamy peanut butter

chopped candy bars or candy pieces, for topping
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and coat a pie plate with nonstick cooking spray.
- 2. Press the cookie dough evenly into the bottom and about 1 inch up the sides of the pie plate.
- 3. Bake for 15 minutes until the edges are set and golden brown; a toothpick should come out clean.
- 4. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.
- 5. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of peanut butter on top of the chocolate chips and let it stand for about 5 minutes.
- 6. Gently spread the melted chocolate and peanut butter over the crust using a spatula or knife.
- 7. Sprinkle candy pieces in a single layer on top.
- 8. Chill for at least 30 minutes to set the topping before cutting into wedges and serving.
