Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare the cake pans.
- Whisk together the dry ingredients for the cookie layers in a bowl.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugars together, then add the eggs and vanilla.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then mix in the chocolate chips.
- Divide the dough into the prepared pans and bake for 20-22 minutes.
- Let the layers cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat the butter and peanut butter together, then mix in the sugar, cocoa, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Assemble the cake by layering the cookie layers with frosting in between, and frost the top and sides as desired.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
