Sautéed Garlicky Shrimp and Broccoli

Ingredients

The Sauce

  • 2 tbsp low-sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp Dark Brown Sugar
  • ¾ tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 tsp Cornstarch
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • ¼ tsp Ginger Powder
  • tsp fresh Lime Juice

The Shrimp and Broccoli

  • 1/2 lb medium-sized Raw Shrimp, cleaned, peeled, and deveined
  • 2 cups Broccoli Florets
  • ¾ cup chopped Red Onion
  • ¼ cup chopped Green Onions
  • 2 cups Brown or White Rice, for serving
  • to taste Avocado Oil or Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
  • to taste Toasted Sesame Seeds, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse and dry the shrimp, then season with salt.
  2. 2. Combine all sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a skillet and cook broccoli for 2-3 minutes until slightly charred, then add red onion and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
  4. 4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. 5. Pour the sauce over the shrimp and vegetables, add green onions, and cook until the sauce thickens.
  6. 6. Serve hot over rice and garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
