Buttery Toasted Pecans

Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and adjust the racks.
- 2. Set up wire cooling racks over paper towels and place pecans in a large mixing bowl.
- 3. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl in 15-20 second increments, stirring in between.
- 4. Pour the melted butter over the pecans and toss to coat. Add salt if desired.
- 5. Spread the pecans in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- 6. Toast the pecans in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring every 5 to 10 minutes until they are browned but not burnt.
- 7. If salt wasn't added before toasting, sprinkle it over the hot pecans immediately after removing from the oven.
- 8. Transfer the pecans to a wire cooling rack to cool before serving.
